Gikgo Can Tho

We enjoyed everything about our stay here :)! The room was nice and clean and the air conditioning worked very well, plus there was a fridge and a kettle. Kate is an extremely nice person, she gave us many useful suggestions about the city and activities, as well as having nice chats together.

The hostel is not very close to the tourist area, but you can easily go there by cab or on foot and it was not a problem for us.

Kate was a fantastic hostess and helped with everything. Mekong floating market tour was great! Also Breakfast and Dinner was amazing. She created such a lovely place and we felt very welcome.

Kate is wonderful. Such an angel. She really takes the word „homestay“ to heart. She organized the floating river tour for me with Ruby.

Great homestay! probably one of the best during my three weeks trip to Vietnam. Nice and clean rooms with all the amenities provided. Breakfast was very good. The owner, Kate, was lovely and so welcoming, she helped me with everything I asked and she gave me recommendations for tours in the area, thanks to her referral I had probably the best guided tour person in my whole trip, Ruby, if you stay at this place ask for her!! During my departure, Kate packed a snack box to take during my bus ride to Dalat. What a sweet gesture! If you prefer a welcoming/home style stay in Can Tho, this is the place!

Nothing really

Kate (owner) was incredibly friendly and helpful, welcoming us to her hostel and making it feel like a home away from home. It was comfortable with air conditioning and other touches (fridge, water jug with safe water, bathroom items, TV, wardrobe), and very clean. Each morning we could choose one food and drink item each for breakfast, which Kate would prepare fresh when we were ready. She provided many suggestions around town, including food and tours, and can also book on your behalf. You can also purchase drinks and hire scooters from Kate.

There was no safe in the room and the bathroom was small for us being tall (toilet close to the wall and low shower head). However these were very minor inconveniences that were not a problem for us and could work around (eg. shower head attached to a hose so could be moved). We would 100% recommend staying with Kate based on her beautiful hospitality, the price was great, and the homely feel of the accomodation.

The homestay is 15-min walking from the city center, but in a very quiet area. Our room was perfectly clean and had everything we needed for sleeping and showering. Kate is a very kind host and she arranged for us a great tour around the area (with Ruby, amazing tour guide) plus the bus back to Saigon. Everything was perfect and very easygoing!

There are many reasons i enjoyed my stay at Gikgo. First of all, Kate has shown her love, hardwork and passion in her business and making sure that everyone is enjoying their time at their stay and provided many breakfast selections for you to choose. Kate organized full day floating market tour which i thoroughly enjoyed a lot. During heavy thunderstorm, Kate went out of her way to provide me a lift on her motorbike to somewhere i needed to go to without getting wet. She spoke really good English and can have a conversation with you easilu for hours and hours. My room was airconditioned and the bed was soooooo comfortable that led me to sleep 10 hours straight both nights. I definitely do recommend this place 👌 😃 😊
