Eden Rock Zanzibar

The location and view are amazing. The room is comfortable and has everything you need. They have two kayaks you can borrow for free. We took them out during low tide and had an amazing time snorkeling in the reefs.

There aren't any real hotel amenities. The restaurant has few menu options and works only for limited hours of the day. The internet is a bit spotty. The beach is actually public and there is A LOT OF tourist traffic during the day.

Eden Rock was absolutely amazing! 🌴✨ Located on the secluded and stunning Mtende Beach, it offers breathtaking ocean views and a true sense of peace. The eco-lodge design blends beautifully with nature, creating a perfect balance of comfort and authenticity. The staff were kind and attentive, and everything was spotless and well maintained. A hidden paradise that captures the pure beauty of Zanzibar — can’t wait to return! 💚🌊

Amazing beach and nice facilities, je room are cosy

The view which was beautiful, the balcony was very nice, and the guard who was very friendly. The beach was full of amazing animals and fun to explore. The food was fine.

This was our most expensive accommodation in tanzania after 1 month of travel and the poorest value for money. The bedroom did not have a closed ceiling/walls and there were holes in the canopy so many bugs entered the bed when sleeping. The rooms were not very clean in general, the shower was working on and off and when it worked there were some hours when there was barely a stream, some when there was no hot water, in general it varied throughout the day. We got a small discount on our food after having no shower for the first night. The room fan turned off every night at a certain hour (around 11pm) along with all of the electricity including wifi, making it very hard to sleep due to the heat and bugs. There were dogs barking outside the room every morning waking us up. Some electric sockets did not work or worked some of the time including throughout the day. The prices were very high for the meals, the rooms and even for water (5000 shillings per bottle) with almost no other option to find food in the area.

Le petit trop copieux , que des crêpes avec des oeufs et du pain accompagné de beurre de cacahouète de beurre et de miel et du pain grillé. Pas de choix j’ai très trouvé ça très dommage car en voyant le lieu je m’attendais à une meilleure pour le petit déjeuner et pour le reste aussi d’ailleurs. Le jet d’eau dans la salle de pain est trop faible. Trop de coupure de courant surtout la nuit pas de réseau après c’est compréhensible nous sommes en Afrique. Le lit est pas très confortable j’ai eu plusieurs mal de dos , pas de frigo dans les chambres pour y mettre au moins de l’eau fraîche ! La nuit pour dîner il y’a 0 lumière pour se rendre au restaurant j’étais seule j’avais peur y’a même des soirs où j’ai préférée rester dans ma chambre car il faisait nuits et j’avais peur de sortir. La qualité des plats et vraiment à revoir la pizza était cramé , les plats sont chers alors que ils sont pas savoureux. J’ai préférer manger au restaurant local le star fish c’était plus bon et moi chère.

L’emplacement et le cadre exceptionnels, très bien intégré dans l’environnement.

Nous étions déjà venu par le passé mais cette fois, il a perdu son âme (manque d’ambiance au restaurant: lumières et musique, concurrencé par le restaurant voisin) et manque d’entretien des extérieurs. Dommage…il faut se ressaisir. Nous avions découvert ce site à l’époque encore vierge en 2018 sans touristes (un luxe aujourd’hui)… Profitez-en avant qu’il ne soit trop tard car maintenant, ce sont 350 taxis/jour en haute saison…

La vicinanza alla spiaggia. Cura del giardino esterno

Mancanza di illuminazione. Carenza di pulizia sia nel la camera che nel ristorante. Presenza di insetti. Personale scortese e non preparato. Qualità del cibo scadente e poca scelta. Mancanza di televisore e frigo in camera.
