Clean, well designed rooms, very spacious. Fresh, well prepared food. Friendly, helpful staff and owners. Good value for the quality of the property.

One suggestion, 2 light chairs such as Bentwood to go with the small inside coffee table that could also be used outside.

Aurora boutique hotel Set in a nice garden, this lovely hotel features a few spacious rooms overlooking the swimming pool. Attention to details is evident everywhere around the property, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Friendly and helpful staff as well as the owners, Marisa and Simone, the restaurant chef. Delicious breakfast and a very distinctive dinner menu. Beach in walking distance, private parking available. Definitely recommended!

Marissa’s warm welcome and the place. The fact that Aurora Boutique Hotel is eco responsible is a plus. The food was delicious.

The price of excursions was a bit expensive in my opinion (especially in low season).

Cosy little place near Jambiani beach. The place itself is wonderful for a few relaxed days. Hakuna Matata but with attention to details and focus on the client's needs. Most wonderful hosts, always very attentive and super sympathetic. Rooms are so boutique and so well maintained, facing this blue pool where we spent an amazing time. As we did at the restaurant where chef Simon creates the most delicious food, using local stuff and giving it an Italian tasteful twist. Nice experience. Marisa and Simon are the soul of this place which we totally recommend. The beach has its beauty on low tide... on high tide may not be the most beautiful beach of this amazing Island. 😍

The Aurora Hotel is a very beautiful hotel, 5 minutes walk from Jambiani beach. It's clean, the à la carte breakfast is very good and the pool, even though it's not very big, is also very relaxing and has warm water. My low score has nothing to do with the hotel itself but with what I will describe in the negative aspects.

- At the hotel, credit card payments have a 5% fee. Everything ok, I accept that. The worst part was when we checked out that they asked us to pay 5% of the 3-night reservation we had made on booking.com, along with the tourist tax. The tourist tax is normal, but charging 5% of the payment I made to booking weeks before and which is not in the reservation conditions, is a scheme by the hotel to take a few more dollars from you. When I arrived in my country, I spoke to booking customer support, who confirmed that this payment was undue, gave me the corresponding credit and they said they would charge the hotel for this. With such an interesting hotel, this is an unacceptable and sad stance that tarnishes the image of the hotel itself. When we explained at the hotel that this payment was not included in the reservation conditions, they also said that it was like this in all hotels in Zanzibar, which is not true. I stayed in 2 other hotels, one bigger and one smaller, and nothing like that happened. And booking.com confirmed that there would be nothing to pay. In short, the hotel is good but when they try to deceive you in these things, I lose trust and credibility. - I only had wifi on 1 of the 3 nights I stayed.
