Abe Martin Lodge & Cabins

I love Brown County State park so being right in the park was great. Even though I didn’t use the pool facilities, it looked very nice. The cabin rooms were clean and the shower pressure was amazing.

The bed was way too soft for comfort! Also based on the hotel description that the cabins were one step up from camping, I packed for camping which included food and cook supplies to cook on a grill or fire pit. There was nothing except a huge fire pit at the back of the main lodge. I had to drive to the location to cook. I was told by the lodge receptionist that “they can’t have them because we’re in the woods.” Does that mean pits have been removed from the camping grounds? They are in the woods, as well. Every other cabin efficiency I’ve been to has a small metal fire pit.

It was very cozy vibes

The water was pretty cold. Room wasn’t kept very warm for swimmers. Also Internet/tv was spotty. Which I’m not sure if that could be helped. Also restaurant is way overpriced for the quality of buffet. (There was no prices listed anywhere to warn us)

Room 105 was in an excellent location, near the front desk and pool. Also, it opened up to a nice courtyard. Great for keeping my bike right outside our door. Definitely glad that we upgraded from a cabin to this room.

The cleanliness of the cabin was poor. Also we booked 2 nights and was only given one by the staff because of availability.

Room was comfortable and decorated nice. The bed was very comfortable and made for a wonderful night sleep.

Needed a chair and a microwave. Also should get the charge $15.00 back for entry fee into park if you are staying at lodge.

We were able to change accommodations and the ‘Cabin Suites’ were nice.

There was so much I did not like with the ‘Family Cabin’ but I will comment on the most relevant. The cabin we were assigned was disgusting-smelly, dirty- the furniture was filthy with mouse droppings, wood floors were heavily distressed and worn. There were no chairs to sit on either deck or front porch. The bathroom looked like something in a camping trailer! I could go on but it was basically unlivable!!!
