Arrived at the hotel and found it completely locked, with no prior information given that it was an unmanned property. I booked it because it was advertised as the only “5 star” hotel in the area, but when I got there it was nothing more than a glorified Airbnb. I was locked outside for 30 minutes trying to get hold of staff. No one was working there, and I had to PAY 100 DOLLARS just to be sent a code to open the door. It’s now 2 days later and I still haven’t been refunded that $100, despite them saying it was only on hold until checkout. The rooms were dirty, and I have photo evidence. There is absolutely NO way this place deserves a 5-star rating. They have none of the amenities of a real hotel – no front desk, no room service, no staff at all. It’s deceitful advertising. At best it’s a 3-star property pretending to be something it’s not. Staff were also incredibly rude and condescending on the phone. After a 5-hour drive, the woman I finally reached said, “If you don’t like the door policy I’ll just cancel your room and you can go somewhere else.” Unbelievable. Photos show filthy bathroom surfaces, blankets with stains all over them (had to throw the main blanket off the bed), and to top it off, at eye level next to the bed was a disgusting broom covered in dust. What kind of “5 star” hotel puts a dirty broom in the guest room? This place is misrepresented, dishonest, dirty, and absolutely not worth the money. Avoid at all costs.
