Gomang Boutique Hotel

We have NOTHING but good comments to say about this hotel. It was our favorite hotel in the country. The hotel is closed to all the main restaurants/activities in Leh. Rooms are very clean and smell good. The food at the restaurant is very good. But the best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are so kind, polite and helpful. They helped us preparing our trek and our day at the monasteries. The owner, Mr. Singh, was a real discovery for us - he is a mountainer so he helped us a lot to find the right trek for the time we had. He cares a lot abour his guests and has a very big heart. We really appreciated our discussions with him.

Quality of coffee

Great staff and exceptional service, and many details that make it apparent that the owner is doing his job with heart - like a coffee machine and milk frother in the room. The food is also absolutely excellent, and the breakfast buffet is very varied.

The owner Gurnam Singh, the reception staff, the kitchen staff and house keeping staff were all very efficient, courteous and helpful. When we had some health issues arising from the high altitude sickness, the staff offered ready and effective help. We deeply appreciate that. The location is very good with the iconic Shanti Stupa overlooking the hotel. Beautiful views of Leh and the distant snow capped mountains from the hotel windows and terrace.

The bedroom lacked good storage facilities e.g cupboard, wardrobe and drawers and was a little cluttered
