Chospa Hotel, Leh

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly.

The front office staff was very helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean

Restaurant service was slow, staff was inattentive. Food was mediocre. At breakfast, no one offered coffee or tea until I was done eating. Then I waited another 10 minutes and left without. Dinner doesn't start til 8pm

Breakfast and dinner at the hotel were outstanding. And the location of this hotel could not have been any better: access to the old part of the city was easy and there were wonderful views from the roof.

Non-Veg food was not the best probably due to limited services during low season. Veg food was very good.

The best place to live in Leh , The staff was so nice and the owner was so educated and trust me very down to earth. She made our journey as comfortable as it can be . stayed there for 3 nights, room cleaned everyday, staff can well communicate in English, bathroom tiles were heated , hot and cold clean water and food was amazing . rooms are soundproof and very clean . everything is nearby so you can plan travelling from first day . definitely recommend this place for family and solo traveler’s .

Very nice, chic hotel just 100 m from main street. Welcoming and polite staff who helped us plan our itinerary and to get travel permits for the area. Good food and very good coffee, important for us Swedes :) Beautiful building and lovely design of the lobby and room. Very cozy and super clean.

The room was very very cold, we had to wear our woollen longjohns and shirts at all times. After 3 days the room started getting warmer (we stayed for 4). There is a heating blanket and a very small radiator so if you stay in bed it is fine. We have no problem with the cold otherwise coming from a cold country, but everything here is made from cement, so it did not hold heat very well. I got a stomach bug on one day when we only ate hotel food, but I think I was just unlucky. Food was well cooked and delicious. All in all we would still definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Leh!

Chospa is centrally located and has more amenities than many other hotels available in the area. My favorite was the heated floors in the bathroom. They also have heating pads in the beds - these are very potent and we found switching between the lowest setting and "off" to be the best. The portion sizes at the restaurant and cafe downstairs are pretty generous. The breakfast spread is good and has something for everyone. The views from the rooms were amazing, and the inside architecture of the hotel is quite appealing.

**This is not exactly something I didn't like,** but I would've preferred if we had a sign to hang on our door that explicitly stated "no room service needed today," or gave us the opportunity to select only parts of the room to be serviced. For example, for the entire length of our stay we did not *need* our bedsheets cleaned or our bed made, but we did need the bathroom cleaned. Once, we received laundry service that we did not explicitly ask for - we put dirty clothes in the laundry bag for ease as we did not want to pack them away right then. Please note that these are not things we did *not* like - these are more things that we would've liked to have more say in. Overall, I am happy that the staff was diligent and erred on the side of caution in providing us the best and cleanest stay.
