Amazing views and super nice interior

We enjoyed our stay here once we got settled in. You have to think of staying on any of the islands more like glamping versus a traditional hotel. There is no power other than 12 volt plugs to charge your phone plus overhead lights. The hot water is solar powered so no sun, no hot water (though that didn’t happen while we were there). Once you understand that you can enjoy it. The rooms were definitely the best quality of any places we saw on the islands. Very nice linens and plenty of covers if it gets cold. I liked that they didn’t nickel and dime you for excursions. Included in the price is all meals, use of a tandem boat/kayak, rides on the reed boat, and a visit to the main floating island area. The lodge is absolutely quiet and peaceful and the rooms all come with areas to relax over the water. Pretty good food, though simple. The hosts were unfailingly willing to please and very nice people who will share their history living on the lake.

I didn’t really grasp that it isn’t a hotel with full power. Would have appreciated even the option to buy snacks.

The property was clean and newly furnished, with spectacular views over the lake to the immediate front.
