Holiday Inn York by IHG

Inpromtu stay we liked ease of parking even with a large van. Rooms were clean towels soft and bed was comfy.

No privacy when curtains open. Needed curtains open for light in the room. Bathroom smallest we’ve encountered in any hotel we’ve stayed in. Toilet seat very loose. Hairdryer although powerful was difficult to use as the button on the handle had to be constantly pressed for it to work. When drying long hair it’s hard work. Carpets had a couple of stains but nothing too concerning. Finally just a request - dirty laundry bag. I always forget to put one in my suitcase but all hotels I’ve stayed in have a complimentary one in room.

A lovely view from the room and a marvelous location a stones throw from where we needed to be for the Dolls House Fair. Clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was good with adequate vegan options available.

Great location

Location was good ! Breakfast was good apart from the Bacon ! It was harder than my shoe soles !

Rooms are old and tired, chipped paint, scratches. Needs a refurbishment
