Plum and Partridge Husthwaite

Place is situated in beautiful surroundings. Room was lovely- cozy and comfortable. Very clean too. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was pretty decent and locally sourced.

Was annoying there was no charging points in the sockets in the room, most places have at least one and I forgot my plug. A very minor inconvenience!

Breakfast was good and freshly cooked

Bed was a little short

The bedroom was lovely and the dinner was excellent

- the bill at dinner took half an hour to come after we asked repeatedly. - The breakfast while good was a distinct step down from dinner

smart interior, spacious dining areas and very comfortable bedrooms

bar and food finished quite early for a Sunday night (understandable) but it was a lovely evening walk to the nearest village pub

Location was beautiful. Quiet and picturesque. Good food

Was a little chilly.

We were able to find the Plum and Partridge very easily with the aid of Google Maps. There was plenty of parking. Our room was on the first floor but was easy to access and was spacious, very clean, well appointed, comfortable and warm. The toilet and shower room were first class. Breakfast offers a good choice is of good quality and cooked well by the chef. Our breakfast waiter, Rory, is first class being very helpful and friendly and should be in line for promotion in our opinion. Dinner was excellent too.

A shelf in the shower on which to place shower gels etc. Also a much larger or a second shower matt as the shower tray was slippery when wet. (as they all are) These are however two VERY MINOR niggles and future guests should not be put off by this.
