The stay was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The Manager was quite helpful and helped us with trips to the Khorezm Fortress. The location is also inside Itchan Kala.

It is located in the Itchan Qala few minutes walk from all the main attractions in Khiva and with a beautiful terrace with Minarete View. Additionally the owner, Murodbek, provides plenty of daily and multiday trips to the region and Karakalpakstan (we did Aral sea one) and transport to most of Uzbekistan for a reasonable price. Ample room. Breakfast on average for Uzbek starndards.

Bathroom could have been bigger for a 4 people room and lacking window.

Very hospitable English-speaking staff - we were invited to sit in on a post-wedding reception. Excellent location, within walking distance of everything in the Ichan Kala. Basic but very cheap accommodation. Good size clean room with good heating, needed because the evenings (mid-October) were chilly. Breakfasts were basic but wholesome with lovely fruit selection.

Could do with a newer toilet

I stayed a few nights and was very pleased. Very good location in the center of old Khiva. They offer many trips around the area and beyond. The hotel owner is a very kind and helpful man. I can recommend Islambek hotel to everyone.

Very noisy room on the ground floor directly opposite to the reception. Loud talking outside from very early morning until late night. No sound isolation,could hear every word from reception and the snoring from the neighbouring room. Bathroom not very clean, especially the toilet! Old furniture with an uncomfortable bed and bad plumbing. Very poor breakfast . Stayed in different hotels in Khiva, this one was the worst but not even the cheapest. I had a reservation for the De luxe single room , wondering how the standard room looks like....
