Fosshotel Vatnajökull

Locatie bij goed zicht op de gletsjer. Kamer was schoon en netjes.

De kamer was erg klein.Tussen het bed en muur 15 cm ruimte aan één kant. Luchtafvoer in toilet werkte niet. Soms onvriendelijk personeel in het restaurant. Geen bagage kruk voor je koffer. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding niet in orde.

The location was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and good. Dinner was a little expensive but worth every penny, very good!

The room was very hot and we were told not to open the window, because of some annoying little flies.

During our stay there was a biting midge outbreak. We could not open the windows and (obviously) the hotel did not provide any support. When we arrived there were already tons of these bugs that would bite us during the night. Sleeping was near impossible as the room was hot and there were many little mosquito-like bugs flying around. Another problem occurred when a foul stench came from our bathroom. It smelled like sulfur and most likely came from the sewers. It stunk up the whole room before we even got there. One minor problem that we had was that the TV was virtually unusable (broken-ish screen and only 10+ channels), but I had little problem with that. One more minor issue is how expensive the food was. Since there were no other places to each in a 30+ minute or so radius we had to eat at the restaurant. While it was pretty good it was extremely overpriced compared to the other areas.

Great location, big room, the ciew is stunning

Lage ist sehr gut. Lobby, Bar und Frühstücksraum sind gut gestaltet. Frühstücks Buffet war gut und reichhaltig.

Leider die Zimmer renovierungsbedürftig, schlecht gedämmt, sehr hellhörig, Zimmertür hatte großen Spalt, Vorhänge vielen aus der Halterung, somit konnte das Zimmer nur bedingt verdunkelt werden. Viele Geräusche vom Eingangsbereich, Nachbarzimmer, Flur. Hatte das Pech über dem Eingang das Zimmer zu haben ! Die Übernachtung war mit Sicherheit nicht die 389 € wert !!!

Nowoczesny hotel z przepięknymi widokami. Pyszne śniadanje, różnorodny wybór dań. Przemiły personel, który ma czas porozmawiać. Czyste wnętrza, cisza i spokój wokół.

Jedyna rzecz, która nam się nie podobała to to, że nikt nie uprzeda, żeby nie zostawiać na noc otwartego okna. Rano w pokoju była ogromna ilość malutkich muszek, która straszliwie pogryzła jedno z nas. Warto byłoby o tym wspominać gościom. Poza tym brak innych zastrzeżeń
