Hostal Mulut Tulum

As you can tell from the photos, the aesthetic is very charming. The staff were full of smiles and chats. Many cute cats and dogs are running around, which lifted my spirits! Their push for recycling is admirable. The showers had strong pressure and reached the perfect temperature.

Only once you book do they message you about the hidden costs. Honestly, it's not worth the money. The wifi was terrible. The free breakfast was a joke: there was no milk for those who do not support the dairy industry, eggs were provided, but you had to cook them yourself, and the fruit was ancient, which I learned after a big bite into a brown apple. The toilets and showers are grouped. That means when a toilet goes out of order (a common occurrence), a shower is lost, too. There were several occasions where nothing was available for a prolonged time. The social area's music comes from an old CD player that skips constantly, enough to drive someone utterly insane.

Super nice and helpful host and staff. Very clean. Well equipped citchen. Some quiet cats and dogs.

Super atmosphere, very nice staff, amazing breakfast and super clean shared bathrooms. The tube is essential but comfy, the garden with amacas it's a great place to chill outside your tube. Friendly doggos around :)

It's a bit difficult to regulate the temperature in the tube, our AC seemed to have only one setting of freezing cold air... but honestly it's nothing compared to all the good things :)

I really liked the nice atmosphere created by the kind, smiling employees. Perfect cleanliness, very good location and comfortable bed. A special bonus when you are in the city center is to feel like you are in a jungle oasis while swinging in a comfortable hammock and listening to birdsong. Drinking water is also a cool bonus, especially those who have dragged heavy water bottles from the store. Thanks to the management for a good breakfast! 👍 I would like return again

Nice breakfast facilities. Beautifully decorated and lovely main area. Handy location. Really friendly staff.

If you don't like cats and dogs, or have allergies, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Lots of very friendly, lovely cats and dogs around all the time, which I liked but honestly think people should be made aware before booking.

Incredible staff, chill vibes, very good location, well equiped kitchen, strong breakfast. This place made our stay in Tulum so pleasant. We got a ton of tips of what to see and do in and around Tulum. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
