Beautiful room, very clean, friendly staff

This is a best hotel that we stayed during the trip. The hotel is super clean and beautiful. I love how they design the hotel from the main door to the room. Everything is neat, cozy, modern mixed with traditional. I love how they prepare the clothes that you can wear while staying in your room. The washing machine is really nice, it has both washer and dryer, easy to make payment through your phone with credit card. It also email you once your clothes is done. We chose the staying plan that has breakfast. It was excellent, they prepare the spreads in the fridge, you only need to make bread by yourself with the instruction, you can set time for the cooker. We had sushi second day, it was superb, very fresh and well-seasoned. The room that we book was spacious, it can fit up to 6 people. The washroom is spacious and clean. The location is unbeatable, it's right across the Yasaka Shrine, the bus stop and subway are nearby. Everything around the hotel is so much convenient, from the restaurants, shopping, convenient stores, drug stores, and transportation. I would love to recommend this hotel. We definitely will stay here on the next trip to Kyoto!

An absolute gem of a hotel . The early morning guided walk was a highlight. The room was beautiful.

Location The room’s decoration was stylish and cozy. Complimentary matcha tea served during the day was a nice touch. The pajamas provided at check-in were thoughtful and added to the comfort.

The staff felt distant and not very welcoming. Their English communication skills were quite limited. The hotel interior was noisy at times. Our room window faced the corridor.

I had a great stay at OMO5 Kyoto Gion. The hotel is very well located, close to Yasaka Shrine and with easy access to metro, buses, and convenience stores. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The Japanese-style bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the hotel offers lovely experiences like a tea ceremony and morning tours. Nice amenities too, including pajamas. A fantastic choice for a stay in Kyoto!

My room was spacious and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and a dining area. The Japanese-style bed was amazingly comfortable, and amenities like pajamas were a nice touch. The hotel also offers cultural experiences like a tea ceremony and a morning tour, which added to the stay. Overall, a perfect base for exploring Kyoto with comfort and a bit of local charm.

Great staff, hotel provided enjoyable extras that made it even more memorable for our family of four such as baking bread over night in your room, walking lanterns, early morning walking tours, evening tea. Our triple room was perfect for our family. Loved the location in Gion, easy to walk to many prime locations.

The staff was sincerely helpful. The room was practical and perfect for our needs. The location was wonderful, with a variety of shopping close by and a wonderful shrine and park essentially across the street. This hotel was perfect for our first stay in Kyoto!
