Location, in 5 minutes you are on the beach with white sand. In China you can not swimm everywhere, there are certain areas where swimming is permited. The hotel is also near restaurantes and different shops. Our prefered restaurant was a local one- Lanzhou Ramen. In the hotel, if you scann one QR code and register, you will get a gift from the hotel, we have received two nice necklaces. They also leave you in the rook a little nice gift- the typical tea from the island Sanya. There is a medical center of CTM in the hotel.

Everyone in the hotel speaks Russian (the hotel seems to focus on clients from Russia), nobody English. WE have been using the Google translator. The European breakfast is very simple, no yogurt, every day the same fruits (2 kinds of melon), small restaurant for the number of people living there. Very dirty windows in the rooms. The hotel building is old. I wanted to book a paradise hotel on the beach but it is more like resort with plenty of guest. The swimming pool is extremly small and was always full of people. The gym is also very small. The photos are much better then the reality. I give only 5 points as I wanted a paradise hotel with spa and it was an old hotel, with poor breakfast.

Our room was very spacious, which was so handy with the toddler. The pool was right outside, but the noise was minimal. The breakfast had a great selection from Asian cuisine, lots of pastries, fresh fruit, stir fries, there was no cheese or yoghurt, only milk (soy and regular). We were very happy with it. The hotel is located right next to the beach, takes 5 minutes to reach the ocean.

I heard a lot of tourists being upset that the ocean was closed for swimming due to typhoon passing through recently. I am not fan of ocean swimming, so it did not affect my experience.

The hotel is really wonderful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The best vacation we had for a very very long time.

Very convenient access to Sanya, 10min Taxi drive to one of the main night markets. Direct access to the beach with own umbrella & sunbed area, the only one under the plan trees in all of Dadonghai.

Dadonghai as a whole caters to Russian-speaking tourists. It is more likely to interact with the locals speaking fluent Russian than broken English. All restaurants/bars/tours are in Russian. The beach is very inviting: white sand, crystal-clear water. However swimming is only allowed in small marked areas which by low tide means knee-deep water. If you venture outside the designated areas (as in "go for a swim") the swim-police will yell and harass you incessantly with bullhorns and sirens until you give up and join the penned-in herd.
