Sun Moon Lake Island Heart

Hotel is located right at the tourist center where there are numerous food and shopping options. The room is moderately spacious and there is a table and some chairs. There is a balcony where one can admire the stunning lake view.

The bathroom came with only the bathtub option. There was no shower curtain and the floor would be completely wet and slippery after use. It didn't help that the premise only provide disposable paper slippers. Air conditioning is not strong and it would take a long while for the room to be comfortably cooled. The towels had stains on them and there was no cleaning staff during the weekends. The lift required card access to operate. This is true for going up to the rooms as well as coming down to the lobby. A person would be locked out of the room and not be able to ask for assistance if he/she forgets the access card. There are no hotel staff located at the room levels during non cleaning times and going down to the lobby is not an option as it requires the access card.

Room was clean and have a good view facing Sun Moon Lake as we were staying at high floor.

The hotel do not have signage and the lobby does seem to be empty without staff most of the time. Maybe it was during our stay at non peak season.

No staff in the morning during checkout. Decor seemed old and dated. Not the cleanest.

NO WiFi anywhere in this building. More than 10 minutes you have to wait for when you use boiled water. Room is not clean and dusty.

There’s no cup for coffee ,sleepers are good to use and there’s no available wifi

The view from our room was epic - definitely the highlight of our stay. Comfy beds, helpful staff, good amount of floor space. Location awesome too.
