showing it’s age, water heater in bathroom constantly made squealing noise every 30 seconds. room was freezing upon arrival.

Excellent staff from housekeeping through reception & management. I arrived by train & was late getting in; Luca had waited for me to arrive & settled me into my room & organized dinner for me. Whenever I asked everyone went out of their way to help & to provide whatever it was that I needed. Because the restaurant wasn't open at the time & as I didn't have transport dinner was either brought in or cooked on the pemises for me. Who could ask for more. The room I had was clean, comfortable & the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. The refrigerator had water & soft drink. Breakfast is taken looking out onto the pool & the glorious grounds of the hotel. I spent time sitting in the beautiful garden enjoying the sunshine and reading.

As most people arrive in cars it is not an issue but the hotel is a fair distance from the town & it's not within walking distance to restaurants or transport. A taxi will cost you €20 to go to the town.

The staff are excellent and the service is first class from housekeeping and reception staff as well as management. They go out of their way yo accommodate your needs & wishes. The grounds are beautiful.
