"Not accessible at all! Breakfast was delicious, but everything else falls very very short of basic!"

4.0

The views were fantastic. The breakfast was incredible. The room was large, especially as an accessible room, with good bathroom facilities.

The staff were nowhere to be found on arrival, when we finally got hold of someone, being shown to the room felt awkward and totally pointless. There was absolutely no information available (breakfast times, dinner? access? anything useful actually?) Booked as an accessible room, and whilst was large, fell very short of accessible. What they call "level access" means entering from "front" of building which is quite a way from car park. So if the single car space at front is taken, this is instantly inaccessible. Ramp into door feels just as run down and rickety as most of building. But door does not open wide enough to turn, with a staircase directly in front to block way. If you can get through this (which I only managed as I had my 16yo son with me for support - but often travel independently so would be totally blocked out), then corridor down to accessible room has a sequence of VERY tight corners, again only navigated with a lot of help. Room door is directly opposite a small staircase, which makes it incredibly dangerous for those not as steady on their feet, or trying to turn into/out of room on wheels. Whilst bathroom probably looked ok from an able bodied perspective, being larger and big shower cubicle, reality is that those are VERY basic, and is actually not accessible for most people. There are no handles/rails at all. There is no shower seat. Handles/push buttons/controls are all difficult to operate, layout is not ideal etc. There are so many simple improvements that could be made, but they are a long way from being able to call this accessible honestly. Bedroom furniture was very basic, old fashioned pine units that have seen better days. Not accessible at all. Bed was of same style, but was actually falling apart. Legs were hanging off and making all kinds of noises. Curtains too small for window, so barely cover all sides, allowing a room full of bugs to bite us through the night!!

"Lovely as always but pesky mosquitos ruined my stay"

8.0

I love this property , the location is perfect and Tom and Anne are perfect hosts. Food is also excellent

Sadly on this occasion I had to leave early (4am) as the room was so hot and didn’t have a fan. I had to open the windows and this let in a couple of mosquitos which proceeded to bite me to death all night. Now I know this isn’t the fault of the owners but a cheap fan in the room would sort out this issue.

"Very Good"

Adequate for what we needed.

Turned up and almost drove off. From the outside looks run down. Pleasantly surprised by the interior. Would have liked a fridge in the room

Very friendly staff - went out their way to make sure we had breakfast in the morning as we had an early start!

Not the comfiest bed, but not awful. Still very good value for money
