The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious, Plus all home-made and reasonably priced. The food portions were good, so good we couldn’t handle a desert but I’m sure if we could then they would have been just as wonderful. The room looked and smelt clean and came with WiFi and a tv with Channels to watch something to wind down for the evening. The hotel was easy to navigate once inside. Tom and Anne, the owners were lovely and friendly. The scenery around the hotel was beautiful and the view from the restaurant felt like a hotel abroad - it was amazing. I would definitely come back here given the opportunity. I would recommend entering through the door in the car park as the flowers outside are beautiful and deserve to be admired. The only criticism we have is that the outside, initially we drove past it as there wasn’t much signage for the hotel and it’s an area we aren’t familiar with. Once parked we walked through the wrong door (the one on the main road) and were confused when we turned up as we weren’t sure what to do. I rang the number in the booking and Anne came down and greeted us. To make it better we would definitely say there needs to be a sign up for the entrance and how to contact if there’s no one downstairs when you turn up. Otherwise check in and out times were decent and the breakfast in the morning was stunning, I was stuffed. Thankyou Anne and Tom for an overall lovely experience.

Large well equipped room with beautiful view. Unusually it had good seating enabling tv to be watched comfortably. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Pleasant and welcoming staff, who were helpful and flexible to the needs of guests.

Excellent location close to Bruton, lovely views, excellent breakfast, charming old bar and spacious breakfast room. Served us a light lunch on request even though pub was closed that lunchtime. Large car park.

Outside areas could do with a little weeding/tidying.

Functional and clean hotel, quiet and very traditional pub. Good traditional breakfast. Great view from breakfast room.
