Good location in a heritage building. Quite a small hotel, with a nice feel, but with the facilities of a much bigger place. Good restaurant/ breakast area under a verandah next to pool. Central and close to sights of Fort Kochi but slightly away from the really busy part of town. Friendly, helpful staff. Very good breakfast.

Management messaged to ask for a full prepayment three or four weeks before stay because it was Xmas, despite us having a booking confirmed months in advance and secured with a credit card. They dropped the matter when I wrote pointing out the request was contrary to the Ts&Cs in the Booking.com reservation. But it gave an uncomfortable feeling which marred an otherwise positive stay. Suggest the management be honest right up front if they want prepayment for bookings at peak periods.

When researching accommodation I found the history of Dutch Bungalow very interesting.

We found this accomodation to be unclean. We arrived in the early hows of the morning and were gone by 8.30am the same day as we had found alternative accom. We lost two nights accommodation at this hotel.
