Garden of Dreams Boutique Hotel

Quiet, lovely , spacious property with serene central gardens, one level bungalow style accommodations in historic residential area 1 km off the highway. Very friendly staff most accommodating through thick and thin. Easily walkable to good local restaurants, banks, Lake Chapala, and the malecon of Ajijic . Appreciated the non corporate mentality.

The staff and owner,Joanna,were absolutely wonderful and accomodating! Alexia,the manager,was very communicative and helpful with her suggestions,what to do,where to dine. The Gardens are beautiful and peace filled. My husband commented how relaxed he was. He even spent time outside! With beautiful nature,you must be prepared for the mosquitoes! I highly recommend this hotel if you find yourself in Ajijic. Also, check out the boutique!

This place is literally magical. The grounds, the people, the vibe, all literally magical! Great location! Easy to walk to everything. The owner is a gem. I found upon check in that I left my debit card in the ATM on my way to the hotel. The owner quickly grabbed her keys and ran me back to the ATM where someone had found my card and ran it in to the bank. She then took me on a grand tour of the area and I was brought to tears with the amount of care and kindness from her. Once back at the hotel, she introduced me to the hotel manager whom I adored and hope to remain friends with forever. She went above and beyond to make me feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. These woman have/are creating a space that feels like home. I can’t wait to make my way back there.

the place was absolutely beautiful and the staff were AMAZING! I would say the grounds were breath taking.

The rooms had an ceiling fan, but I was still pretty warm when I was trying to sleep. An additional fan would have been nice.

The swimming pool has no rails for entering the pool so being one who uses a cane would not have been able to get into or out of the pool except on my knees. Saw one rat on the grounds. Breakfast at 9 was a bowl of cut fruits with yogurt and oats plus coffee so I went out for breakfast for both more choices and an 8am availability.

the people were great....lovely garden and pool...room was nice.

office was manned only 9am to 3pm. Breakfast from 9-10...which is late for me. Coffee you could make starting at 730am but cream was little old.
