Absolutely beautiful garden areas! We had a lot of things we had to take care of and did not get to sit and enjoy the garden the way we would have liked. Just far enough away from the busiest areas so that it was very quiet but still within walking distance to most all of the points of interest . Security with locking gates.

No a/c in the room. It was tolerable at night, but we were there during the winter. Summer would be a challenge. The ceiling fan moved the air, but I would suspect, not enough to cool you off during the summer.

The grounds and pool were beautiful. I loved the courtyard setting

The suite I booked was supposed to be a Comfort Room with King bed and an included Microwave. We had neither. Future visitors should be aware that the plumbing is old and there are limits on what can be flushed down the toilet. Staff are great and our breakfast experience was good. One other item of note is the garden has a Saturday Artisan market, with set up starting early. If you plan to enjoy the grounds and pool, Sat is a bust.

The breakfast was as stated. You could order scrambled eggs. We didn’t find the toaster until the second day when another guest showed. The gardens were nice.

The room we stayed in requires an update. The mattress, linens and pillows are old and dated. Unfortunately no toilet paper is allowed down the toilet. I understand this is an old building with old plumbing.

The rooms are large, clean, and comfy, the grounds are beautiful, peaceful, quiet and inviting, and the staff are all super pleasant, efficient and very helpful. The swimming pool is a bonus because they are fairly rare in Ajijic hotels. Also Garden of Dreams is a little like an upscale Bed and Breakfast since all the guests can enjoy breakfast talking together, exchanging Ajijic experiences and offering suggestions.

There is nothing to dislike. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were all amazing and so polite and professional. We loved the decor, the privacy and how great it was to just unwind.

Very good overall. Great breakfasts. The back pool and garden area is lovely. Very enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful !
