After my last visit in August 2019, I never thought I'd be unable to visit again. Be that as it may, 21 months later and Covid almost behind us, we were fortunate to be able to visit this week. This is THE place to relax and unwind and let go of this past year's stresses. Quiet and tranquil. Not fancy, unpretentious, and clean. Many restaurants within walking distance or short cab ride or their current on site restaurant which we found to be quite good. If you're looking for frou frou Jamaica, this is not for you. If you're looking for real Jamaica with exceptional service, friendly people and rooms with views that are unequaled, this is your place! Shout out to the lovely Tina, who I appreciate very much and to Dino, Bridget and Josephine. They make you feel right at home and I can't wait to get back. Love you guys, see you soon!

I had the pleasure of staying at Home Sweet Home last spring just before COVID hit hard so my review is long overdue. Home Sweet Home will forever hold a special place in my heart. The sunset views from this property are absolutely stunning. If you're lucky enough to have a deck right on the sea you're in for a real special treat. The staff are super friendly. General manager Tina makes you feel like you're family. The maids Briget and Josephine are some of the best housekeepers in Negril. I even had a local tell me it was the cleanest place he's ever stayed. If you're looking for a clean room in a smaller boutique hotel with working AC and killer sunsets, I highly recommend checking out HSH!

I highly recommend staying at Home Sweet Home when you come to Jamaica! The location is sublime - it overlooks the cliffs right on the ocean, so when you wake up in the morning the ocean is the first thing you see :) The sunsets are absolutely unreal as well. The staff were as friendly as they come and have great recommendations for places to eat and things to do when you’re there! I felt so safe staying here, and it was super easy to get around and get to the beach from this location. If you prefer a more boutique experience with a family vibe, this is your spot! I can’t wait to return again someday.

What an amazing experience as Home Sweet Home proved even more spectacular than I remembered it. CHECK-IN: The resort followed all Covid procedures, and manager Tina Hammond had my key ready for Room 15. Shane, the security guard, greeted me, too. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Major wow factor. Property is well kept, and the pool is nice, but omg that Carribean sea! ROOM: The room is against the shore and gorgeous with a glass wall and big elevated patio. Best cleaning service in Negril. The ladies will also cook for you upon request. The AC worked great. Nice bath rooms. Includes a table for four and a big couch. All the rooms are similar especially with sea views. SERVICE: There is a good staff to guest ratio. Anything you want is available with a smile. They treat you like a king FOOD: The restaurant was not operating, as is common in off-season, but there are tons of authentic little spots close by that deliver. FINALLY: Home Sweet Home offers great bang for buck, starting at about $65, which is a steal. A great hotel.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING THE VIEW IS TO DIE FOR YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED..it’s so calm and peace exactly what you need for the perfect ultimate get away whether it be by yourself , couple , family or friends . The cliffs over look the beautiful view that cast spells of comfort and ease day and night ..swimming is safe freeing and perfect for snorkeling ..this is one of my favorite places on the planet my fiancé and I got engaged right on the cliff overlooking the sunset ..we must talk about the hidden gem which is the bar they have the best bar at the hotel the bartender will forever be a part of our lives as he captured the moment we got engaged and provided fresh food and drinks daily for our family . Food to die for by the way I really couldn’t of asked for a better setting to be I couldn’t of dreamed of this place ...constantly In awe of the beauty but I just say it’s more than that the vibe is something you won’t find anywhere in this planet ..it indeed lives up to its name ..home sweet home ...I can’t wait to go back thinking of having our wedding here !!! My wife and I had an absolute fantastic time staying at HSH! Charlie welcomed us as soon as we arrived and was even kind enough to upgrade my wife and I to one of the beautiful sea view villas! The views and sunset were incredible. You are situated on beautiful cliffs with direct access to the ocean. Charlie gave us great snorkeling recommendations and we were able to see a lot of species of fish and marine life. I am also a big fisherman and this location was perfect for my wife and I. She could lay out by the pool or on the cliffs, while I fished from the cliffs. Our room was spacious, well kept, and we had our own kitchen and AC unit. The cleaning staff offered to clean our room every day as well. One last thing I need to mention, when my wife and I’s flight got canceled due to covid-19, Charlie was very gracious and ensured that we had a good place to stay until our flight was rebooked. Thank you to Charlie and the staff for making this one of the best experiences a traveling couple could hope for!

We loved it! The cliffs are beautiful and lots of fun. We enjoyed being able to jump off the cliffs at various heights; there are spots for an easy jump and higher jumps for the more adventurous. We brought our snorkeling gear and went most days from the property; however, they removed the ladder one day when the sea was rough. There are seating areas around the pool, on a grassy lawn and on the cliffs; lots of choices and I didn’t miss the hassle of sandy feet at all! Our room was one of the cheapest, but it still had a decent view. I particularly liked that the room had an outdoor patio/deck and it has walls around it so you don’t have to share the space with your neighbors; although everyone we met there was friendly and low-key. All that said, you have to know who you are as it’s not fancy. If things like a broken rail on a side table or missing tile in the bathtub will bother you than this is not your place. What we care about is a good location, a clean room and a comfortable bed and HSH delivered on all. We can’t wait to go back.

We were lucky to find HSH in our search for the perfect destination that was fair in price and value. It was our first time to Jamaica, and we both regret that it took us this long to visit. Negril is like the pictures you see on post cards and HSH is a great place to soak it in. We booked the ocean view room, and we’re pleasantly surprised when we arrived and found out we had a massive balcony all to ourselves. We assumed from pictures online our balcony was to be shared with other guests, but it was in fact our own private area. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by Tina’s wonderful smile, we truly felt welcome and “at home”. Charlie (the owner, who we found out had built the place 40 years ago) was also on the property, and you could quickly tell that Charlie truly cared about the experience of all of his guests and was very proud (as he should be) of his beautiful guest home. His energy and dedication comes across in all his staff (who treated us so well all week long). The room was very spacious and offered a rustic, natural and relaxed feel, which we felt perfectly matched the feel of Negril. But what made our trip were the cliffs!! Charlie’s cliffs at HSH easily compete with all the high priced resorts on the west end. From laying on the cliffs and watching boats, fish and birds go by and listening to the ocean waves crash into the rocks to jumping off the various levels of cliffs or floating in the ocean steps from your room, this place is just short of Heaven. HSH Negril was our first trip to Jamaica, but it will be a new regular trip for us until the day we can retire there.
