Gateway Hotel

It was a pleasant stay in this new & modern hotel. Room is spacious and clean.

It would be better if more hooks in the room for easy hanging of clothes/coats, and more choices on breakfast.

Grace at the front desk made the stay for us. She helped us store our luggage there for 2 weeks while we drove around Alaska until we returned for a cruise. She also arranged to get our luggage to the cruise ship on our return. The hotel itself was conveniently located and nice. Value for money is hard to judge because the room rate seemed high for the facilities themselves but it was also high-season in Alaska and the location was great.

Wow! We spent 3 nights with our family of 4 in August. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean! The breakfast is good and the woman who works at breakfast is fabulous. She is constantly refilling, cleaning and even taking plates from people who are done eating. The entire hotel staff can be seen working 24/7. We even spotted them cleaning the handrails in the stairwell! We were so impressed and comfortable. My husband left a pair of cheap readers behind and they called us immediately to let us know. Highly recommend!!

Our king-sized bed room was clean, attractive, and useful. The location was super convenient to the marina, shops, and restaurants. And the breakfast was good quality and value.

I would have liked a softer bed.

Excellent staff, very clean and perfectly located between downtown and uptown making everything very walkable. There is also a regular shuttle that runs a circuit of the town which is nice. Breakfast was great and you’ll have a great view as well each morning.
