Gateway Hotel

We want to give special shout out to Front Desk Manager Mr. Josh. he was courteous, very helpful and polite . The best we have come across. We had handicap friendly room , which had single king bed , but we were 3 of us. Requested Mr. Josh and he immediately provided a roll on bed with all essential thrown in. Since we arrived early and were leaving late we had to keep our baggage for safe keep and there was no hassle about it . Must also mention the location. near to Railway station and to cruise for Kenai fjords .

breakfast , omelet had no taste. There was nothing else to complain about or be dissatisfied.

It's super clean, and the location is great. Breakfast was great too.

The hotel is modern, spacious and has very helpful staff. The location is central and there is much within walking distance of the hotel The room was spacious with fridge, TV, and fast internet. It also contains an iron and ironing board. The closet is open and spacious enough for a short stay. There is no safe or microwave in the room but there is a coffee/tea maker There were laundry facilities, ice and a microwave on floor 2. The breakfast room was large and the breakfast was excellent for an included breakfast. Heating/cooling in the room was quiet and effective. As it stays light late in Seward, the room curtain was very effective at blocking exterior light. We enjoyed the stay very much.

Hotel was great! Perfect location. Staff is exceptional. Hotel has a shuttle to take you to the cruise ship terminal also to and from the Alaska Railroad depot. Daily breakfast was good, and we utilized the guest laundry which was very handy. The hotel is very convenient to the free Seward shuttle that will take you around town. There is a very good bbq restaurant(Firebrand BBQ) on the block behind the hotel. You won't go wrong staying here!
