Hotel Soyokaze

Taka and his wife are excellent hosts. Warm and inviting, Taka went out of his way to make us comfortable. From picking us up at the bus station, helping us with luggage transfers, discounted lift passes, and restaurant recommendations, they made us feel very much at home. The hotel also has a beautiful sento, perfect after a day on the slopes. The shuttle bus stop and local combini is right around the corner, making getting around super easy. In-house breakfast fueled us up before heading out, and little treats and delicious mandarins to take with us. I highly recommend Hotel Soyokaze for a Hakuba stay.

Locates at the center of Hakuba, it will be the best choice if you go skiing since the bus, ski rental, restaurants and JaJa store locate within 100m and you can enjoy the hot pool after skiing. The owner Takao and his wife are very friendly and you can communicate them for the help by English.

The property could not be better located - right near a Main Street of cafes, pubs and restaurants. There is a convenience store literally 50m away. Shuttle buses to most of the major ski resorts on the same street.

Very hard to think of anything - the pillow could have been more comfortable

The host Takao was very accommodating and allowed for a slightly earlier check in. There was also a private onsen for which we could make a booking for during our stay there. There was parking available if you drive and a coin laundry at the basement. The space in the room was sufficient for 2 open luggages. The location was great as well as it was in the heart of Echoland, 5-10 min drive away from the Goryu-Hakuba 47 and Happo one and a few min walk away from a convenience store and multiple restaurants.

The room floors were not heated but there was a heater machine in the room that kept the room sufficiently warm.

The cabin we had for a family of 4 was fantastic. Suits children in upstairs loft style room. The onsen in the hotel was lovely and available every night for a private session. Taku was incredibly helpful in picking up and dropping off at the bus station and arranging discounted lift passes.
