Babalao Bungalows

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Unterkunft war sehr gut und hat eine Top-Lage – direkt am Strand. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den Chef, der uns bei jeder Frage und jedem Anliegen sofort geholfen hat. Über die Unterkunft können auch sehr gut Touren gebucht werden. Die Organisation war unkompliziert und zuverlässig. Das Zimmer war sauber und komfortabel. Besonders praktisch war das vorhandene Moskitonetz, das für ruhige Nächte gesorgt hat. Insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Everything is nearby, beach, pool, restaurants, gift shops, beach again.. You will never get bored. Authentic African touch every corner of the lodge. Definitely value for money.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Babaloo Bungalows and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar. From the moment we arrived, Jason made us feel welcome. He personally greeted us, walked us through the property, explained the different activities and excursions available, and provided helpful advice and local tips that made planning our stay incredibly easy. His guidance helped us make the most of our time on the island. The property itself is beautiful, clean, and full of character. The grounds are lush with tropical plants, flowers, and trees, creating a peaceful jungle-like atmosphere while still being just a short walk from the beach. The swimming pool is fantastic, and there are plenty of comfortable common areas where guests can relax, enjoy a meal, play board games, or simply socialize. One of the biggest highlights for us was the food. It was honestly some of our favorite food on the entire island. We kept coming back to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel because every meal was consistently delicious. The dining area has a great atmosphere and became one of our favorite places to unwind each day. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and equipped with reliable air conditioning, making them a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. We also appreciated how safe and secure the property felt, with friendly staff and 24-hour security. A helpful tip for future travelers: many activities and excursions are cash-based, so it’s a good idea to withdraw cash at the airport when you arrive. What makes Babaloo truly special is its authentic, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly, the property is beautiful, and Jason goes above and beyond to ensure guests have an amazing experience. We would happily stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends and family visiting Zanzibar. Thank you, Jason and the entire Babaloo team, for such a memorable stay! 🌴☀

There was a brilliantly relaxed feel about the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Jason helped with our day trips and was a font of information.

No real negatives

Great location. Although it is not directly on the beach, Jason brought me to the nearby hotel where there was access to sunbeds and a beautiful portion of the beach. The room and pool were clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the bed was comfortable. The location is perfect and a short walk to some of the more popular restaurants, and the staff assisted me with whatever I needed.
