Disappointing Experience with Security and Hotel Response I stayed at The Crescent Hotel, Miramar in May and encountered a deeply concerning incident. On the 16th, I stepped out around 10:43 AM for a conference at a nearby hotel, only to return around 8:00 PM and find my Bose headphones missing from my room. These were securely kept inside my cabin luggage before I left. Fortunately, I had an Apple AirTag attached to the headphones, which recorded its last location at 5:23 PM on the same day — clearly within or around the hotel premises, at a place I never visited. Despite raising this issue immediately with the hotel management, I received no meaningful support, follow-up, or accountability. No investigation results were shared, nor was there any effort to track down the item even after I provided clear proof of the timing and location. I travel frequently and have stayed in properties across the globe, but this is the first time I’ve experienced such a breach of trust and safety. As a long-standing Genius Member on Booking.com, I expected better — not just in terms of security but in the dignity of a timely and honest response from the hotel team. I sincerely hope this review encourages future guests to remain vigilant, and that the property takes guest concerns more seriously going forward.
