Very comfortable and roomy accommodation. Very welcoming staff who made you feel very at home. Good choice of food on menu for breakfast and evening meal. Very good dining experience.

Telephoned to book table for 2 x evening meals about 12:days before stay & was disappointed to be told we couldn't eat in the restaurant one evening as they had a function. Investigated other local pubs / restaurants which would have meant getting a taxi (not ideal when staying in a lovely hotel). Telephoned again a couple of days later to ask if we could have the same meal options as the function & eat in the bar but was told that this wasn't possible. We had a not very nice meal in a local pub & paid £26 in taxi fares. On our last morning i spoke to a Manager about their inability to accommodate us / expressed our disappointment that guests were not a priority if they had a function. The Manager listened & apologised & gave us 20% off our restaurant meal - which we appreciated. If i wanted to stay in a hotel without a restaurant i would stay in a Travelodge. Would suggest that they find a way to accommodate guests for dinner when they also have a function. However to reiterate.... Lovely hotel with lovely rooms

Great overnight stay with good food both at dinner and breakfast!

Our room was a bit cold at first (was below freezing outside at night so understandable) but was heated after a while

Room had everything you needed. The pub was fabulous. Wonderful meal and very good service.

We stayed overnight and the room was very comfortable. The pub / restaurant was excellent. It just hit the spot on everything, the food, drinks, the decor and personable and kind staff. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Beautifully decorated and cosy room, the little touches like the bottle of bubbly and biscuits were a lovely Christmas touch.

This is an exceptional pub/meal/overnight stay. Every detail attended to in the room and the staff were so attentive. The breakfast topped it off with the largest selection of options I have seen and beautifully cooked.
