The Lister Arms

We liked the Lister Arms Pub and enjoyed wonderful dinners there and an exceptional breakfast each morning. Staff was friendly and worked hard as they were very busy while we were there. Our room was in a converted barn a short distance from the pub and was beautifully restored but not as comfortable as we hoped. Our room was up a short flight of stairs and the sitting area was downstairs. We never really used it and there was no comfortable seating in our room although it was quite large. The bed was comfortable and the shower was very good.

There wasn't any air conditioning & they were having a heat wave while we were there for 2 nights. Windows had to be left open and a fan was provided but there were no screens on the windows (one was a large skylight that opened) and I was very upset to find a black spider climbing on me! I felt like we were camping out at expensive prices. This hotel/pub is in Malham which is in a beautiful location in the Dales but accessing it requires a lot of driving on single track lanes using by cars going in both directions. It was harrowing for me. I wish we had booked a stay in Skipton which would have provided easier access in and out.

Our stay was extremely comfortable. Our breakfast was incredible! So many options and delicious. Our evening dinner in the inn was also excellent. It was in a great location for our stay in the Dales.

Vecchia stazione di posta assai suggestiva, nel verde, vicino a diversi pub e ristoranti e all’inizio dei sentieri per le splendide passeggiate di Malham. Camera confortevole e piacevolmente decorata, bellissimo bagno molto grande con vasca e doccia. Ricca colazione e ottime cene, staff accogliente e gentilissimo

Very nicely finished rooms, comfortable with good amenities. Breakfast was fantastic. Great choice of cooked and buffet options. Staff were super helpful and accommodating to us
