The Orchid Hotel - Old Town & Drum Tower

The Orchid was beautiful and the staff were so helpful and kind. The restaurants served amazing food, and the rooms were unique, clean and comfortable. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend.

Great service and a unique property, more like a cozy Airbnb than a hotel (kitchen, etc). The staff is super helpful and friendly and worked hard to make my stay great, like getting an early breakfast packed before sightseeing and making sure my laundry was done promptly before I left.

I generally liked the place even thought the layout is a little strange, i.e. you have to walk across a road to get to your room. The breakfast was good, but again somewhat unique with its pan-Euro-Israeli offerings. I tried the Cantonese place the day I arrive and it was decent.

The location is superb, the staff are excellent as is the food in the restaurant.

We choose a room with an internal staircase to the bedroom. This was an error, the stairs are steep and the head height in the bedroom is limited by a sloping roof. Thankfully we asked for a change of room and the staff were very helpful and accommodated us.

Super nice and kind staff, great location, cute design combines modern and local vibes.

Ett lugnt område i en pulserande stad. Var som att komma till en lugn oas att hämta andan i efter en dag strosande i Peking. Vi hade litet men perfekt rum med en säng en trappa upp och liten sittplats under och det passa våra behov perfekt. Personalen är otroligt trevlig och hjälpsam. Känns gemytligt och ärligt, inte alls turistigt! Sov jättebra i deras säng! Frukosten var väldigt god och fanns många alternativ på menyn.

Kanske är rummet kändes lite lite fuktigt men det är nog inte hotellets fel utan så är bara klimatet och området. Som andra skrivit om hotellet så går det att höra lite från andra in till rummet, men med tanke på hur gammalt området är så gör det inget. Vaknar man väldigt väldigt lätt vid ljud så rekommenderas öronproppar.

Very small but well laid out room, which we expected as other rooms not available. in a larger room would definitely been 10 out of ten.
