The Orchid Hotel - Old Town & Drum Tower

Amazing location to visit Beijing for the first time. You get to experience sleeping in a real courtyard Hutong. The two restaurants you can choose for breakfast are delicious. And the staff was super helpful to choose the itinerary for each day and what to eat. Would stay with here again when I visit Beijing again!

The room was great but it missed somekind of curtain to block the light in the morning.

It was a comfortable oasis in the middle of a hectic section of Beijing. My room was cozy and the breakfast at the Middle Eastern restaurant on the property was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English really well.

Le calme et l’emplacement.

Rideaux tirés sur les fenêtres impossibles à ouvrir, système cassé. Mode d’emploi de la télévision pas expliqué, impossible à faire fonctionner. Le petit déjeuner mesquin offrant peu de choix. La chambre en mezzanine, très étroite.

Beautiful hotel in the Hutongs. This is the best location to really experience Beijing and wander through the Hutongs and experience how people live. The hotel itself is like a gold nugget hidden away off a little lane way. The food is amazing and the restaurant Toast offers mouth watering food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff are so attentive and sitting in the reception area with the lovely Late each afternoon tasting all of the teas is an experience in itself. The two resident cats are delightful. We could not have loved our stay more and are so grateful we came across the Orchid Hotel.

Nothing, it was perfect

чудесное, очень уютное место с большим выбором разных опций для завтрака и ужина. Очень приветливые и хорошо говорящие на английском сотрудники, прекрасная пара кошечек и вид с крыши. Удобная кровать, постельное белье ,подушки и одеяла. Рядом - Колокольная и Барабанная башни, озера, интересные улочки

Я бы утеплила дверь, чтобы не дуло внизу из нее и чтобы не слышно было соседей во дворе, когда ты в номере. И тогда было бы тепло в номере и не нужно было бы включать кондиционер на тепло (он очень сушит кожу и слизистую носа). Поставила бы масляную батарею вместо кондиционера и в ванной полотенцесушило, которое греет , лучше установить.

Very nice central place, have their own restaurants and nice rooms

With a small 5 year old child sometimes it's difficult to find food, there is one nice sandwitch place on the spot but was opened for one day before going to renovation.
