"Will return when we are passing as worth it"

Building a great old lady that was given the decor of its period. Lots of eclectic furniture and decor. Looks like a project that has potential to be successful. Host welcoming and helpful advising a great place to get food locally.

"A lovely place to stay and a change from an ordinary motel"

A charming place to stay, roughly half way between Levin and Otaki. Easy to get to either to find food. Less than an hour from Wellington ferry terminals but with better weather. The shared kitchenette was cosy and had everything we needed for breakfast.

Very dog friendly with a fenced area at back. Large lounge area. Easy to find. Historic building and good facilities. Really friendly host. Great bed.

Stairs are a bit steep

Fabulous staff - friendly and knowledgeable. Very accommodating to our needs as cycle tourists.

I would have loved to see the pub operating. But the food options across the road were very good.
