Comfortable room with en suite, sea front location, breakfast was very good

The room was cold I had to sleep in my clothes, the room wasn't that clean - next day bedding was just thrown on the floor outside my room on the following morning. staff at breakfast were very unfriendly and the breakfast wasn't very good

Breakfast was nice and staff was friendly. It was clean and adequate but a bit dated. Good location

There were a Buch of football players making a noise till 5 in the morning. Apparently it happens every Saturday. Although I enjoyed the hotel, this was unexceptionable as I needed to get a good nights rest. The staff and management is aware of this but as it is money in their pockets, they are not bothered.

No sea view, which was one of the advertised features of the room when it was booked. Had to swap rooms when given one with a window overlooking a brick wall, even then the "sea view" was from a side street & not facing the beach directly, so we could see about 30 feet of beach-front. The advertised streaming service and satellite channels were not present. Dated/faded decor. Some room & bathroom fittings were in need of small repairs, etc. Some of the common areas showed a similar "patched repair" attitude, one of the broken panes of glass in a stairwell was covered with a small wooden panel. Parking was very hit & miss as it was a case of grab a space on the seafront if you could find one. Reception staff seemed to change every day - and on our last night we were informed that we needed to check in!!

The guy that was on the desk the evening We arrived (Mark or matt) was amazing he's was so caring and went out of his way to help us and make us feel welcome, the room was clean and comfy.

The lady on the day shift she called us during a funeral to tell us we needed to move our stuff even though we had paid to have a late check out, she didn't apologise either
