Lovely stay, helpful and friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. House very comfortable, very clean and beautiful view overlooking the river. Second time there and will definitely be back.

The freedom to use the kitchen, dining and front room, unlike a hotel.

Wonderful community feel, with a help-yourself-breakfast and shared break-out facilities. Beautifully decorated. Bathroom felt brand new!

Bedroom radiator was switched off, which we didn't know upon our arrival, so had a very cold first night! We stayed first weekend that the weather turned colder so were prob just unlucky.

The location is amazing, right next to the Taybank, with private parking - not always easy in Dunkeld. The downstairs communal rooms are spectacular. Guests were able to use the kitchen and some food was provided for DIY breakfast, including teas, coffees (inc decaf), cereals, yoghurts, muffins etc. There is a small shared kitchen if you wanted to cook your own food. Sitting in the front lounge was so relaxing and great to people watch. Iona on staff looked after guests well, without being intrusive. Bedroom included a nespresso machine with pods and kettle. There is no TV, but wifi was good quality. I was told I was welcome to have wine from the fridge. I felt very welcome.

Negatives were only minor! My room was one of the upstairs small rooms, which I expected. It was a tight fit with a standard double, drawers and an ensuite shower room. My first evening was really cold as the heating wasn't working and the window a little draughty. However, Iona reset the heating and after a few hours the radiator worked well. It would have been nice to have a small heater in the room for emergencies like that. Unfortunately I could hear the pub music next door (but that's the downside of being so central and it was nice music!). I could also hear people walking upstairs (on wooden floors?) and was awoken the first day by another guest having a shower at 6.45am and a couple of crying babies. However, this wasn't Tay House's fault really, and it all depends on the the other guests. Sunday morning had a fire alarm, but again not Tay House's fault, as it is was another guest with the shower and at 10am not a disaster.
