The Residence by Atholl Arms

Fantastic room which had great elevation over the river Tay which had dual aspects from the windows too. Very comfortable bed, but overall the room was lovely with a gorgeous bathroom too.

I couldn't find ice in the kitchen

We liked the self catering approach for breakfast.

Clearer information regarding self catered breakfast so we would be better prepared to take maximum advantage of the facilities.

You can put together your own breakfast, the kitchen is fully stocked with a lot of different breakfast options. The shower and the bed were amazing. They have a wee tin with doggie treats and another with doggie poop bags.

The location was great, right overlooking the river. The room was very spacious with an excellent ensuite and very comfortable bed. The common lounge was comfortable and relaxed.

The breakfast was DIY so basically cook your own food from a fridge with packets of half used food from previous guests. The staff don't stay on site so apart from a brief chat when given the keys to our room there was no reception and no explanation on breakfast arrangements. Very much feels like an upmarket youth hostel which doesn't align with the hefty price tag. Not good value for money in our opinion

Loved being able to cook breakfast ourselves and all the food that was provided was fantastic! The location was superb and staff were very helpful in giving recommendations for walks. Overall a great experience and would love to come back.

Location is stunning overlooking the beautiful river Tay. Staff were very friendly and efficient and made us feel very much at home. The entire hotel was very clean (despite being dog-friendly!) This hotel offers self-catering accommodation and we found the kitchen very well appointed - the dining area was beautiful!
