Hotel Kokoro Mineral Hot Springs

This property is located off the road, just deep enough to avoid any traffic noise. We felt like we are in a resort with a beautiful garden. The view of volcano is amazing. The reception area is filled with different styles of chairs and is completely open. You feel the open space. The breakfast has fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, rice, beans, eggs and other stuff. Wish they served cappuccino. But you can get one by just walking out to the road at a coffee shop. The hot springs have 3 pools and are mostly empty. We enjoyed them every day for 3 days. The staff is friendly, especially Yat. He suggested a place in town for dinner and we ended up going there for all 3 nights! It was hard leave this paradise!

The room could use a mirror for ladies outside the bathroom 🙂

The gardens are amazing, lots of flowers, trees and wild animals everywehere. The hot pools were also very nice. The food in the restaurant was tasty. We can only recommend this property and would not hesitate to stay there again in the Deluxe Family Room/Bangalow.

The location of the hotel is amazing. When there is no fog the volcano is beautiful. The thermal baths are very good, you don't even have to go to bigger baths. The breakfast buffet is also perfect. The staff was very nice.Wooden houses are suitable for the purpose.

It is an amazing place close to La Fortuna. It had a three-tiered mineral spa pool with incremental temperature. There is a surprising wildlife in the beautiful tropical garden. We spotted tons of birds, agutis, costa rican frog, hummingbirds just by walking in the garden. There is a bar for dinner and cocktails, and also a great buffet breakfast (included) is served there. Very kind and helpful stuff.

We loved this place. The hot springs were basically empty and awesome! at night i went out and the grounds keeper gave me a mini tour and i got a great photo of the iconic Green leaf tree frog (tiny green frog with orange eyes, feet and tongue! also and armadillo

Breakfast was wonderful, and the location was perfect for what we wanted to do. We saw many neat birds. Staff was really nice! in fact, we got in late the first night, around 10:00, and the restaurant was closed. We were tired and hungry. The front desk person asked someone to make us dinner, and she brought it to our rooms! It was really unexpected and very much appreciated!

My pillow was too hard - lol! No big deal. That's the only thing

Amazing gardens and grounds, you can see so many animals and birds from your front porch, lovely hot springs, pool, breakfast area, staff friendly, huge rooms, great loaction.

Rooms a little dark at night as they did not have lights, just lamps next to the bed.

Beautifully landscaped. So many different flowers and shrubs. Lots of wildlife. The lobby area is absolutely gorgeous. Yes it was a bit dated in some areas, like the pool, but he can’t expect it to be perfect given the price point. We thought it was very good value for how lovely the accommodations were and how wonderful the staff was.

The pool area was a bit dated and could use a good power wash, but really, everything else was just lovely. It also didn’t stop us from fully using all of the amenities. Everything still functioned as it should.
