Friendly and helpful staff and a good location.

Regular visits from outside neighbours through an outside door by my room that I was assured is normally kept shut and locked.

Staff molto disponibile ad affrontare qualunque richiesta.

We landed at the hotel and came to know that inspite of our confirmed booking, room was unavailable. The reason - they couldn't reach us on the phone a day before, which we couldn't since we were traveling. First such instance with a hotel booking done on Booking.com. Shocking travel experience since we had just landed in the city with elderly family members and lot of luggage. (Thanks to some friends in the city, we found a really good place elsewhere) On hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise. The hotel is located in a chaotic area inside a congested lane with rooms at level 3 and above with no lifts. No cabs or cars can come close to the entry door. We had few baggage and elderly with us; no way we could have survived this place without being a mess. Avoid this place if you aren't prepared to struggle it out. There are plenty of other places in Kolkata you can get with more character & convenience and lesser grief. Like we did.

A charming hotel which has seen better days. The basic stuff like bed, sheets, towels & room cleanliness is very good. Location (College Street) is great to experience the real Kolkata. Thus, it's good value for money. We did not have any meals.

There is not much beyond basics on offer The budget room (#104) barely fits a bed. However the deluxe rooms are comfortable with adequate space. BTW, it's NOT a three star hotel (I saw this mentioned somewhere against its name).

Nice location on college street area Good quality of food. Nice balcony Netflix avaibility. Nice bed

Could be better maintained

J ai bien aimé mes 3 nuits à l hôtel Cecil... Tout d abord le personnel très à l écoute et notamment Narayan qui m a beaucoup aidé pour différentes démarches Puis la propreté impeccable, la possibilité de manger sur place, le bon petit déjeuner inclu, le bon rapport qualité prix et l emplacement central tout en étant un peu en retrait dans une petite rue...

Rien Tout était parfait Mon meilleur hôtel depuis le début de mon séjour en Inde
