Beautiful neat rooms ! Staff went out of their way to make my stay memorable

Was close to train station however in a rough end of town, would not have like to stay there as a solo traveler!

Rats everywhere outside and people sleeping outside the window, trains very loud throughout the night, overpriced for what you get! Photos deceiving also

Honestly the only good thing about the property is the location

I contacted the property twice on booking.com about a shuttle service. It gave me a response saying ‘x’ person no longer works there. I wasn’t contacting ‘x’ person. I emailed the property twice to ask about airport transfer to which they replied eventually saying they do not provide this. I contacted again for more info on best way to get there. No response. I then contacted to confirm I would be checking in late so that someone would be there, no response. I arrived and was stood outside for 30 mins whilst the taxi driver was calling and calling the number on the door. They eventually came down and I checked in at 1am. I went to the room, it absolutely stunk, there was mould in the shower and the AC dripped onto an electrical plug socket. Throughout the night I kept feeling things ‘crawl’ on me (this might have been a what if feeling more than an actual feeling, but it only started that way because of the state of the place) Honestly, I barely slept. I came down in the morning to mention everything to the staff and to pay for the one night only as I was not going to stay a second night. The guys said they can’t do that. They have to charge the full amount and it’s a booking.com problem - which is complete shit. The hotel pays a service fee to booking.com for the booking. They guy rang his ‘boss’ and was told that “if they cancel it now, they will owe booking.com $70+ USD”. It’s not even a believable lie??? He then proceeded to tell me that the issues with the hotel were “my problem, not his” So mould on the shower, a leaky AC directly onto a plug socket and a smelly gross room was “my problem”??? There’s honestly no point booking this spot. I read reviews a that said basic room but great location. The rooms are so poorly kept and the staff are rude. It’s not worth the cheap price they make you pay.

Great position in the heart of the city. Very basic and nice room. Amazing and big shower in the bathroom. When i will go back to Colombo at the end of my tour in Sri Lanka i will defenitely book it again.

No breakfast but not a big deal as you can easily find something to eat in that area

The location is on a very busy roundabout, next to the railway…but that all dies down in the evening. The rooms have been refurbished and everything is clean, works properly and there was even hot water!! Staff were lovely too. Best place I’ve stayed in, for the price, in Sri Lanka…recommended😊
