Hogs Back Hotel & Spa Nr Farnham

Great location just outside Farnham and down the road from Guildford. Great staff very kind. Nice lovely clean room perfect for the occasion and allowing us to relax and chill after we had checked out and still use the facilities. Didn’t eat there but food looked good. Lovely pool and spa too!

There was no air con and the room we were in was noticeably hotter than the rest of the hotel. My wife couldn't sleep on the first night (her birthday) and when she enquired about the possibility of moving to a cooler room this was denied on the basis that we were in a family room- that's fine but no other solutions were forthcoming and she felt the receptionist was dismissive . The poolside was dirty with plasters on the edge of the pool for consecutive days- clearly hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. Staff were friendly- particularly the bar staff and the lady on reception the first day- but other staff were unhelpful .. things like not enough padlocks for the pool lockers and staff seemed disinterested
