Incredible location! That was the best part and pretty much cancelled out the negatives. Also decent room and was great they provided an outlet converter.

Wasn't really staffed most of the time so they needed to know exactly when I was arriving ahead of time and exactly when I was leaving, and also meant I couldn't checkout but store my bag there for the day while I explored, which in my experience is a normal thing to be able to do in a hostel, so all that definitely limited the flexibility a bit. Other things that weren't ideal were there was no microwave, hot plate, or even water boiler to make tea/coffee so there was no way to prepare food, couldn't even heat my leftovers. Typically hostels have some kind of group kitchen at least. Also there was no hot water for showering and the bed was not super comfortable, the springs/wires in the mattress were poking no matter where you slept on the bed. Overall I wasn't spending much time there so the location was the really important part and that was great, but would have been nice to at least have the flexibility to leave my bag for a few hours after checking out.

The staff were absolutely lovely, and the location is extremely convenient! Our room had an AC and a great mini-fridge.

The bed was surprisingly uncomfortable. The windows were not insulating enough, so most of the time we were cold *and* it was noisy due to the restaurant next door and the cafés nearby. We had to ask for a kettle and extra towels the moment we came in. The AC started making an interesting noise around day three. The shower head is quite tiny and the water pressure isn't the best. There were no bins in the room except for the one in the bathroom which was quite inconvenient. Following the weekend, the reception called us and the cleaner banged on our door at quite the early hour which was not appreciated- a better system should be implemented to indicate whether people want the room cleaned or not. Additionally, that same night when we came back, we both noticed the wet mop smell left in the hall and it did not dissipate for the next few days. Having said that, there is no way to effectively dry towels.

If your there to enjoy the night life. If your there to relax and enjoy the sights then find somewhere a light further out from the centre.
