Great Northern Hotel

The room itself was clean and comfortable. The toilet was clean and the bathroom vanity was clean (they were separate from the bedroom and separate rooms - was unaware it was a shared situation). The check in staff (think it was Nathan) was nice and friendly and asked about where I had parked and suggested I move it from the street to the car park when a spot was available due to safety and security. Thought this was very good (unfortunately no park became available before I (tried) to go toe sleep. No idea if there was Wifi available as he didn't mention this.

Very basic room for the price (no fridge). The shared toilet had not sink it in so if there was someone in the bathroom (which had trhe shower ands locked facility to the door), then there was only the shared kitchen sink - that's if no one was using it. The noise from the pub downstairs is horrendous! The door at the top of the stairs was supposed to be closed at 10pm but I don't beleive it was (certainly not when I checked if there were spots in the car park). Due to the front bar being at the bottom of the stairs, the noise travelled right up because there was no barrier from the bottom - only the door at the top. The shower was dirty with marks on the walls (I had a shower at 7am).

There were a lot of noises, kids running and screaming, people sitted drinking and chatting right behind our window where the bed was and we had a hard time trying to sleep.

Great air conditioned rooms for a short stay, the food from the bistro was amazing! All the staff were very friendly and the check in and checkout process was effortless. 10/10 would recommend.
