Hotel Monarka-Edificio

Patricia was a lovely host. She helped us out with all our questions on the city and bus transport, and even gave us some extra fruit for the bus trip. Great location - the hotel is 2 minutes walking to the central bus terminal, so ideal for arrival/departure from/to Cali, Armenia and further on. 10 minutes walking to city center, and with supermarket next door. Nice breakfast too. Spacious room with hot shower and good bed.

The rooms were very clean and comftoable bed. We liked that there were dressers and hanging space to unpack. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to find something for me to eat for breakfast as a vegan. We really liked the area of town we were staying in, as it semed to be a very safe neigborhood. It is important to note, that you are about a 20 minute walk from the main plaza.

There is a night club on the next street over, and the music carried to our room. Even with the windows closed, it sounded as if the night club were right there in the room with us, which made for a difficult night`s sleep.

the personnel was terrific! Patricia, the manager, was incredible and concerned about how I was doing, and not only was she the receptionist also were happy to help every time. the room was big with a massive bed and a good mattress, the television was a smart tv and had a connection to the internet and I could connect to Netflix and other streaming services without problem. the bathroom wasn't clean it was pristine! and also wide enough to have a shower. The implements there like towels and blankets were also clean and doesn't look old at all. Finally speaking about the breakfast, I have to say was sooooo good, basic one but clean well made and fast to serve.

A trash can would be great in the room. Hot water in the shower wasn't available all the time.

Excellent breakfast. They even made it early for me because I had to leave before the usual breakfast time. I love how they have a home-style kitchen inside the hotel. Everything was great.

The beds could use a mattress topper (to make it more comfortable) but overall everything was great.

Location was great, walking distance to airport and old Town. Clean and hot water
