Islay Frigate Hotel

The room was beautiful and well decorated with a nautical theme.It was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was good. The view from the window was stunning. The breakfast was delicious, and served from a room with the best views over the water. Staff are lovely and went out of their way to help.

The outside needs sprucing up. The entrance hall is fine but you have to go into the public bar to get your room key, and it's a very local place, not the nicest first impression. I suggest setting up a desk with a bell to ring in the hallway.

We booked for 2 nights and were asked if we needed anything replenishing for the room during the stay after breakfast on the first morning. Breakfast was delicious and not a spot of grease on the English breakfast 😀 Cereal also available. We were served immediately, again by friendly staff. Views out of the breakfast room were lovely 🥰 We will definitely be paying another visit! Thank you!

Great location with room looking over the harbour. Very peaceful . Handy for ferry to Islay.
