Location in the port is great. Not far from the ferry terminal. Great views. Wonderful restaurant very nearby. Break fast simple but perfectly adequate. Great staff, very pleasant, chatty and helpful. The Red Herring Seafood restaurant very close by is fabulous.

Hotelet var under oppussing så det ble ikke servert frokost eller andre måltider. Men det ble vi kompensert for, så vi kunne kjøpe andre steder.

Was good value and close to all amenities

Shame they were doing renovations to the hotel and couldn’t do breakfast which they refunded when we arrived

Staff member was very helpful ,location spot on right on the harbour, parking right next to hotel ,

Sharing toilet but it was clean and tidy ,

Newly refurbished, the Islay Frigate Hotel is in a prime location, overlooking the harbour in Tarbert, with great views. Friendly staff and a nice range of complimentary refreshments in the room.

Due to the ongoing refurbishment, the kitchen was out of action so we weren’t able to have breakfast; however, this should be rectified soon.
