Whalley Abbey - B&B and Retreat House

A peaceful historical retreat in beautiful abbey grounds to explore. Comfortable quiet room with hot shower after a lengthy days cycle. Easy walk to local restaurants. Great breakfast & cafe facilities.

I think the warm sunshiney day helped and also the historic location of Whalley Abbey made it a perfect stay, but Fiona the host was a lovely and. very welcoming and informative and obviously loves where she works. It is in a beautiful peaceful location and the communal areas are lush and inviting. there is even a library. My room was very spacious and very clean, overlooking the gardens. I had a comfortable nights sleep. Lydia greeted everyone at breakfast with a cheery hello and was a perfect breakfast host. She had local knowledge of the area and was bright and breezy. I only stayed the one night but wished it was for longer. I would highly recommend Whalley Abbey. It was a enchanting place to stay.

Beautiful grounds

We had a lovely stay. So peaceful, lovely lovely setting. An impressive, comfortable, historical setting within very easy walking distance of the village centre. Plentiful parking. Very friendly welcome. Room huge, comfortable beds, spotlessly clean, the towels were excellent and the breakfast buffet was tasty and well cooked. And you are supporting a good place.

Liked everything. A little clearer info about how to check in would be helpful but really minor tweaks.

We had a lovely stay, our room was clean and comfortable, the staff where lovely and it was a great base for getting to places. We also found a number of places to eat just down the road
