Hotel Malhotra inn 50 Meter from Golden Temple

To be fair, it's only £20 per night, easy walk to Golden Temple and the guys at reception are friendly and helpful enough.

But it will never escape its surroundings. The grime, dirt and noise together with the congestion is just a feature of the area. The gloomy rooms have no natural light, the staircase is awkward, the wifi only really works in the lobby. Their airport pick-up service left a lot to be desired and could be improved by the simple expedient of the driver waiting at arrivals with a sign with your name on it. As opposed to phoning us, telling us to go to public parking (how are we to know that's not the car park you see on emerging but one 400 metres away).

Great location, delicious food and walking from the temple and jallianwala bagh.comfy stay . I really like it and definitely recommend.
