Very well managed and secure

Narrow steep stairs and no lift. Older people (I am over 70) should be put in lower rooms.

Clean rooms, fresh sheets, clean towels staff eager to please Warm and extremely helpful.Hot water kettle, hair dryer. a clean ensuite bathroom a small cupboard. Heritage street is a short walk

None. Rooms have to be accessed by a steep staircase- disabled unfriendly ; however considering that the hotel is right in the middle of the bazaar just a few hundred metres from Harmandir Sahib and Jallianwala bagh space constraints are perfectly understandable

The room is excellently situated, right beside the Jallianwallah Bagh and very near to the Golden Temple. It is very convenient to take breaks during multiple visits to the temple. There is a very bustling market as well as iconic restaurants within walking distance. And the hotel staff/ owner is very very service-oriented and efficient. They arranged a cab for me for 4 days for my onward journey which has been very satisfactory.

The only drawback is the fact that there is no lift/ elevator. As I had requested to have rooms together, I was accommodated on the 3rd floor as per my confirmation. So which it wasn't unexpected, the high floor was a bit of a hassle for climbing up and down multiple times, especially as the steps were narrow and steep. But the staff did everything they could to alleviate the trouble, and carried our luggage up and down themselves.

The location is very fantastic - 5 to 7 minute walk to the Golden Temple. It's in the middle of a bazaar but my room on the 3rd floor even though facing the road was quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. For some reason, they gave me 2 bananas both the days saying its for people who book through Booking.com?!

The mattress was terrible. It needs to be replaced. The room had a musky smell likely coz the windows were not opened in a long time due to the AC. The shower knob in the bathroom was broken and when I switched to the Shower mode, the whole panel came off and I couldn't turn the Shower mode off again. The toilet seat was also loose and broken. The following items from my Booking reservation were not available in the room - Fireplace, slippers, sitting area, dining area, dining table, drying rack for clothing, hand sanitizer. I am wondering if they gave me different room then what I was supposed to get?
