Clean and nice atmosphere

The place is clean and roomy. They offer good breakfast (paid extra). Open spaces speak to the safety of the location. It's less than half a mile from the beach. The staff is very young and they're clearly trying their best.

When we arrived at 6:30pm, there was nobody at the front desk. We waited almost ten minutes and decided to call the hotel's phone number. They said "we'll be right with you" but still had to wait another 15 minutes for someone to show up. Later we asked for the wifi password, twice, but it never worked.

Our host was wonderful! She made sure all of our needs were taken care of

It is in more of a remote area than I thought- not their fault. But, it was close enough to the Macaw Sanctuary where we were going I think there should be something on the listing to say that it’s up the mountains behind Carrillo beach. The beach is what people know as Carrillo.

Loudes and her mom, the owners, made us feel right at home for our entire stay. The rooms are exceptionally clean and well-appointed. It might be noted that they speak only Spanish. With my elementary Spanish, we communicated just fine

The location is a little off the beaten path.

The hotel features a gorgeous property, pleasant rooms, and an excellent breakfast! Plus, we were delighted with its location.

We had a very pleasant stay! We enjoyed the property and the staff, the breakfast was incredible! I believe there were 6 menu options for the included breakfast. The ambience was very nice in the rancho next to the pool, and the rooms were pretty comfortable!

This isn't the hotel's fault, but right next store against the wall of the hotel is a house from which we could hear noise (TV late at night, and hammering and drills early in the morning) through our bathroom windows. The sliding glass doors are not very sound proof so it made for some sleep interruption if there was noise outside, but not too bad. It's a little further from the beach than we thought, so we didn't actually walk there even though it is listed as walking distance, but there is hardly any development in Carrillo that is that close to the beach anyway.

bedbugs in the hotel bed bit my wife... avoid the hotel

Very clean, modern, air conditioned, free wifi, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Staff only spoke Spanish but were very patient and friendly with my terrible Spanish. We used Google translate to communicate. Pool was nice, no hot tub. Nice restaurants within walking distance.

Twice there was no water available for a couple of hours. Showers were intermittently warm. Staff notified us about the water issue via WhatsApp. Rooms were quite bright in the morning, but we were prepared with eye masks.

Very nice small and cozy hotel, it was very clean, the stuff is very friendly and helpful, the pool is very clean, the room is super spacious, has an air conditioner and all needed

There could be some more chairs and umbrellas around the pool
