Doxford Hall Hotel And Spa

Pretty property and grounds. Nice area to walk around countryside. Staff helpful. Breakfast was good. I liked there was a gym.

Tired cottage room with dated bath and furnishings, not as written on website. Lots of cobwebs. Dated not to have a Nespresso like coffee machine — especially since I could not get a latte at breakfast, which is all i really wanted. Gym hours end too early. With no staff it should be 24x7.

Beautiful building and location

Our room was extremely hot and the bed was very uncomfortable. The spa bath had been switched off and the heated towel rail was stuck on red hot. I mentioned the uncomfortable bed to reception and they did inform me that they were in the process of changing the mattresses.

The grounds, the staff, the food were all excellent

Even though the food was delicious, it cost us more for two evening meals than it did the accommodation

Lovely olde world hotel. Big yet peaceful.
